Over the weekend a friend of mine showed me her daughter's college blog. The school pays her and 1/2 dozen other students to blog as a recruitment tool. Her mother uses it to keep track of what she is up to - she is too busy blogging and texting to call. Well, thanks for getting me on board. The open source and SaaS models are truly changing the way software is delivered and consumed, and the tradition vendors are scrambling to figure out what they are going to do as the market shifts.
